St. Joseph, Model and Patron of Those Who love the Sacred Heart
WATERTOWN, New York - In Watertown, NY, there is a statue of St. Joseph holding the Sacred Heart. The heart is clearly visible on the child Jesus. I always considered this the proper image of St. Joseph for his title, “model and patron of those who love the Sacred Heart.” The popularity of St. Joseph seems to be increasing in the media. There is a modern icon of St. Joseph with the child Jesus in front of St. Joseph’s heart. Jesus is blessing with his right hand while holding a dove with his left hand. A recent Nativity scene depicts St. Joseph as an important figure in the birth of Jesus. St. Joseph is holding Jesus in his arms gently as Mary is at rest. There are also modern movies, which highlight St. Joseph’s important role as father of Jesus and guardian of the Holy Family. Download Images

The Logo of the General Chapter 2011
Friday, 26 February 2010
ROME, Italy - The General Chapter of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart will be held in September 2011 in Spain. The theme of the Chapter is: OBEDIENCE AND MISSION. The motto of the Chapter is: “In verbo tuo laxabo rete”( At your word I will lower the net ). These words of Peter to Jesus in Luke 5,5 make reference to both obedience (In verbo tuo) and to mission (laxabo rete). As there should also be a logo for it, the General Council looked into 3 different possibilities painted by one of our confreres. It chose the one shown here. This logo was painted by a Brazilian scholastic, Juliano José da Silva, MSC, from the São Paulo Province. Now it is being displayed on the misacor website for the members of the congregation to use in their communities. Download Images
