Father Benedito Ângelo Cortez MSC is re-elected as Provincial Superior of the São Paulo Province |
 SÃO PEDRO (SÃO PAULO), Brazil –
The MSC confreres from São Paulo Province have gathered for
their Provincial Chapter from May 5 until May 9,
2008 in the city of São Pedro. They reflected on the theme: “In the
Heart of the World to announce the Heart of Christ”, with the motto:
“Disciples and Missionaries of Jesus’ Heart”. Father Narciso Abellana
MSC from the General Administration attended the Chapter. On May 8,
Father Benedito Ângelo Cortez MSC was re-elected as Provincial Superior
of the São Paulo Province. Father Cortez was born on January 11, 1966.
He made his first vows on February 2, 1991 and was ordained Priest on
December 10, 1994. The General Administration gives best wishes to
Father Cortez MSCfor his second mandate. |

Fr. Jules wanted to found a missionary Society that would have as its purpose to bring God’s compassionate and merciful love to human beings as the remedy for the evils that afflicted society.
