The Confreres celebrate the Two Feasts at Piazza Navona, Rome
ROME, Italy – May 24 and May 30 were the two important dates for the MSC confreres of the Italian Province and the Generalate community. May 24 was the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in which Cardinal José Saraiva Martins, C.M.F., Prefect for the Causes of Saints presided over the Solemn Eucharistic celebration. On May 30 Father Mark McDonald, MSC was the presider for the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Both feasts were celebrated at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at Piazza Navona, Rome. Some members of the Chevalier family and lay people also participated in the celebrations. The Eucharistic celebrations were followed by a festive meal for everyone.

"Devotion to the Sacred Heart is the essence of Christianity and contains all other devotions. The Heart of Jesus is the love of God, God himself, incarnate. God is love."

Jules Chevalier
